Prairie

The momentum of the past strongly shapes our decisions of the current time since it is easy to follow. However at any timing point of life, it does not have to be the case and we do not have to pre-set the range of our options to be limited.

It is like you are landed alone on a prairie with no road. You can choose any direction to follow and make your next turn towards any direction at any time. This freedom of options is counterintuitive but makes more sense when we look around at some models we admire. Most of the profound events or inventions in the history and in our contemporary society happened without any predictions. There is a momentum in history on a society scope, but for individuals, the range of options for you is far more broader than what you can imagine.

At least, free your own mind and start searching and dreaming. Nothing around us are given to us for granted, we have to create and we will have what we choose to create. That is why Steve Jobs concluded that everything around you that you called life were made up by people that were no smarter than you and that’s why nothing is impossible.
