I love history.
Although the historical events may not be accurate, not to mention the interpretation by historians. I still assume most of the events happened since logically they have higher consistency than made-up stories.
History is a swirling curl that every contemporary event can find the echo in history including all your stories. So we have only one life, why not learn the lessons from history before we actually make the same mistake in our own life.
