Never stop learning
Never stop learning. I should not only polish my learnt knowledge, but also broaden my sights from new knowledge.
I learnt a lot outside of my own academic training. Suddenly they came into my mind and inspired better ideas today. I have to admit that knowledge is knowledge and it’s always useful.
Always hunt for knowledge.

Bioengineering should improve modern world
We are facing multiple critical issues in this early 21st century:
- Limited energy/ petroleum sources;
- Limited and bad quality food;
- Badly hurt living environment/ air/ water;
- Limited approaches/ medicines/ to improve human health.
For all issues above, bioengineering shows is huge potential to contribute.

Treat heavy as light and treat light as heavy.
This is a trick for doing workout.
But this also works for life.

reconnected after long time apart
Had a long call with a Japanese friend after we last met eight years ago. It feels so good to have a friend living as sincerely as you on the other side of the earth and you two always have something to talk about and share even after long time apart.
Friends are always there, ready to talk with you and share the happiness and sorrow with you. I learn from them and am motivated when thinking of them.

Courageous momentum
It is normal that we feel nervous for new things we don’t know or we never tried before, which is essential for us to biologically survive. However, in modern society, where survival is no longer the primary goal, such hesitant response to new things and new attempt is not beneficial but dragging us from becoming better and stronger.
It takes courage to step out of the comfort zone and try something new you feel uncertain about the outcome, good or bad. BUT, having the courage is not so big a deal. The sky won’t fall and all you need is to do it, do the things that you think are right in your mind. That’s it. This self-blinded trial relieves you from many irrelevant nervousness and worries. When this work is done, you suddenly realize that “wow, I did it no matter what the result is, good or bad, I did it!” Indeed, the result of your courageous behavior is secondary. The courageous behavior itself change you and your life the most. Once the courageous behaviors have their momentum, this momentum drives you to a different path to become a better and stronger person.

Make less better.
I am hesitant to buy stuff. I would make full use of what I have. I only choose the item with real values and hard work condensed within.
I appreciate what I have and I will only possess of what I would appreciate.
Similarly, I do hard for what I started and I will only start what I am ready to do hard for.
Time is limited. Make less better.

Good day and good night
One mission a year
I really have a small brain that cannot remember many missions to do and it is easy for me to get lost. I need to lean down the list just as I lean down my body fat.
I wanna change, change myself from many aspects. But where to start? Where to focus? Of course there are a lot of points to work on but I cannot remember all of them. So I decided to focus on only one thing in a year span and keep telling myself this one mission many time in everyday. This is also an approach of creating negentropy into mind. I believe this will help.
For this year, it is a regulated sleep.
